In this course, students will explore the rhythms and rituals of liturgical time, focusing on the church calendar, vestments, Daily Office, Sunday Eucharist, and the narrative of salvation.

The term “icon,” derived from the Greek “eikon” or image, refers to sacred images connecting worshippers with Christ, Mary, or saints. In this class, we explore the history, theology, and craftsmanship of icons, highlighting their role as conduits for prayer. Participants will craft a shadow icon of Mary to deepen their spiritual practice.
